My journey as an artist is focused on ceramics with a theme of functionality.
My work is handmade throughout every process from wheel throwing, glaze mixing, and reclaiming clay. The chemistry behind glazes fascinates me and is an area that I
want to explore and master. As I enhance my abilities to create functional everyday
pottery, I want to explore different shapes, sizes, and clays, and their impacts on
quality and craftsmanship.

After taking an introductory ceramics class at the University of Toledo, I decided to change my focus from 2D to 3D art. I have always wanted to own my own business. I established IberisWorks in 2024 with a focus on hand-thrown pottery that is accessible, memorable, and sustainable.
